Federal Polytechnic Mubi is a federalpolytechnic that is located in Mubi,Nassarawa State.
Federal Polytechnic Mubi was established in 1976 based on a decree by the federal government of Nigeria that allowed for the establishment of seven polytechnics. The federal polytechnic began academic activities that same year in August.
Federal Polytechnic Mubi, as of its establishment, was situated in Yola but was relocated to Mubi based on the directive of the president, but the campus used in Yola is still operated and used as a consultancy unit.
Federal Polytechnic Mubi, when relocated from Yola to Mubi, inherited the non-operating Federal School of Arts and Sciences Mubi. With existing infrastructure and technology, it was easy for the Federal Polytechnic to commence academic activities smoothly.
When the infrastructure and facilities that are met on the site of the non-existing Federal School of Arts and Science are good, they have to be deconstructed to work properly for the polytechnic, and also new infrastructure and buildings were built to add to the existing infrastructure and facilities.
Federal Polytechnic Mubi, as of the period of its establishment, commenced academic activities by offering programs in preliminary studies in science and management. In later years, a national diploma program was added, and in 1982, a national certificate in education (NCE) program was introduced.

ND ENTRY REQUIREMENT
● JAMB/UTME Score of 100 and above
● GCE ‘O’ Level, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB (NBC), or TC II ordinary passes or their equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, and any other three (3) of the following: Economics, Commerce, Geography, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Agricultural Science/Biology, and Government, for those that will opt for National Diploma (ND) in Secretarial Studies, Ordinary passes in Type Writing, Short Hand, History, and Religious Knowledge.
● GCE ‘O’ Level/SSCE/NABTEB (NTC) ordinary passes or their equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, and any other three (3) subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or all three Science subjects depending on the program in which the applicant will finally enroll; or
● City and Guides/WAEC intermediate certificate with passes in English Language, Mathematics, and integrated/physical science (Physics/Chemistry) will be considered for Pre-ND Science and Engineering candidates.
HND ENTRY REQUIREMENT
● A National Diploma (ND) obtained at a minimum of lower credit pass in a relevant discipline from a National Board of Technical Education (NBTE) accredited program;
● A minimum of one (1) year of post-national diploma (ND) cognate working experience in the field of specialization;
● Candidates must have met the National Diploma (ND) minimum entry requirements of four (4) relevant credit passes at SSCE/GCE ‘O’ Level, English Language and Mathematics, or Pre-HND qualification from a recognized institution.
● Candidates who obtained ND at pass level but with a minimum of two (2) years of post-qualification cognate working experience may be considered.
● GCE ‘O’ Level SSCE, NECO, NABTEB (NBC/NTC), or its equivalent with at least a pass in Mathematics and English Language or in relevant science subjects, or
● Grade II Teachers Certificate with at least 2 merits in mathematics and English language or in relevant science subject or
● SSCE, NBC, NTC, and NECO attempted with at least two (2) years of cognate working experience.

● The candidate for the Advanced Certificate in Building must possess the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi Certificate in Building Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized sister institution.
● Candidates for the Advance Certificate in Land Surveying, Cartography, and Photogrammetry must possess the intermediate certificate in land surveying or cartography or photogrammetry.
● Candidates for Certificate in Hotel and Catering (ACC) must possess SSCE attempts.
● Candidates for Confidential Secretary III (one year) and II must possess the Confidential Secretary IV and III certificates or RSA with 80.35 (WPM) in shorthand and typewriting, respectively. Candidates without a pass in mathematics will be considered.
