Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda is a federal-owned polytechnic that is located in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State. The institution was established in 1983 by the late president Shehu Shagari.

The Federal Polytechnic was established by the late President Shehu Shagari in order to expose the society to a new level of higher learning education equipped with technical training; it is the only higher learning institution in a town of over 500,000 people in which over 5,000 students is the recorded number of students based on 2025/2026.

Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda offers programs in both National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in both morning and evening classes. The institution operates seven schools from which different departments are administered.

● Candidate who applied for the ND course must have a minimum of five (5) O-level credits in WAEC, NECO, or its equivalent in not more than two sittings.

● Candidate must choose the federal polytechnic as the first choice.

● Candidates who applied for the HND program must possess an ND certificate with a CGPA of 2.50 and above.

● A candidate who applied for the HND program must have completed its one-year industrial training.
